I can't remember exactly when I got this piece... my best guess is that it was given to me in the second or third grade, during the Japanese celebrations of either Girl's Day or Boy's Day.

I don't really know much about origami, but I've always admired this delicate little couple.

Can anybody out there tell me what the brushwork reads?

Stuart Immonen on Reference

Nextwave artist Stuart Immonen wrote an interesting article for "Comics Should Be Good" about using reference- from the photo files of the 80s to the model making computer programs of today.
His website includes a comic that he's working on with his wife, Kathryn.

The style he uses for the comic "Moving Pictures" is reminiscent of illustrator Istvan Banyai.
