The Superman Who Might Have Been

In 1934, Jerry Siegel approached several possible collaborators to develop a Superman newspaper strip. One of these artists was Russell Keaton, the "ghost artist" for Buck Rogers. Keaton even went as far as to prepare some sample daily strips before deciding "not to gamble on such a young and inexperienced writer.”
